Kirkcudbright Harbour

No postmark. ‘Utopia’ dries her sails on the far side of the old harbour, and ‘Daisy’ is rigged for unloading on the near side. The bollard in the foreground was once a retort chamber in the gas works, and is still in use as a bollard at the present quay. A useful little crane stands on the pier behind the ‘Utopia’. The ‘Daisy’ was wrecked in Kirkcudbright Bay on 20/12/1900. The ‘Utopia’ was wrecked at Carsethorne on 23/11/1898.
