View of the harbour

No postmark. A small steamship lies alongside the quay and carts unload bags outside ‘The Steamboat Shed’ This large black shed stood at the side of the old harbour, and was used for distribution of goods to and from the paddle steamer ‘Countess of Galloway’, and other vessels. It survived until the late 1950s or early 1960s. A fishing smack lies at the south west end of the quay, and fishermen scrape a boat on top of the quay wall.
